2. Data stored in your browser
Prompt Management Studio is a local-first app. Everything you create is stored only in your own browser:
- IndexedDB holds your prompts, their versions, saved model responses, favorites, your model price list, your chats with their messages and token usage, and the API keys you add.
- localStorage remembers which model is used to price prompts in the library.
This data is not sent to us or to any server operated for Prompt Management Studio. It stays on your device until you delete it, for example by clearing your browser’s site data. Other people using other browsers or devices cannot see it. The only exception is the Chat feature, described in the next section.
3. Chat with AI providers
When you use the Chat tab, your browser sends your messages, the earlier messages of that chat and your API key directly to the AI provider you selected (for example Groq, Google or Z AI). Prompt Management Studio does not route these requests through any server of its own. The provider processes them under its own terms and privacy policy, which you accept when you create an API key with them. Do not send personal or confidential information to a provider unless you are comfortable with how it handles data.
4. Files the app loads
When the app starts it loads prompts.json (built-in example prompts), ads.json (sponsored links) and providers.json (the list of supported AI providers) from the same server that delivers the app. These requests do not contain your prompts or any other content you created.
Fonts, icons and scripts are hosted together with the app and this website. No requests are made to third-party font or script services.
5. Files you attach
When you attach a file to a file placeholder in the Generate dialog, the file is read locally by your browser and inserted into the generated prompt. It is not uploaded anywhere.
6. Copying to the clipboard
The Copy buttons write text to your clipboard when you click them. The app never reads your clipboard.
7. Sponsored links
The app shows one sponsored link at a time. Displaying it does not involve any tracking. If you click it, the advertiser’s website opens in a new tab and their own privacy policy applies there. The link is opened without telling the advertiser which page you came from.
8. Hosting and server logs
This website and the app are hosted by [hosting provider, address]. When you visit, the hosting server may automatically record technical data such as your IP address, date and time of the request, the requested file, and your browser’s user agent. 9. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and to object to processing of your personal data. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
Because your prompts, chats and settings are stored only in your browser, you can view and delete them at any time yourself. For data you sent to an AI provider through the Chat tab, contact that provider.
